What do you love most about being a Stylist:

I love that it gives me a creative outlet. No single day in the salon is the same so it keeps me feeling challenged and creative.

What is your Favorite Installation Method:

I love doing the NBR (beaded weft) technique. Sometimes I like to add a few single strand extensions in the front and close to the nape area to disguise those tricky short hairs. I feel like this method is the least stressful on fine hair and adds a lot of fullness and body.

What and Who inspires you:

Earlier in my career I had a co-worker that had been in the industry for 15+ years but even then he never turned down any opportunity to learn something or take criticism even if it was from somebody fresh in the field. That really opened me up to realizing to never stop learning from anyone because the industry never stops changing. I feel like the second you think you have nothing more to learn that’s when you have set yourself up for failure.

I love to find inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest. I’m such a visual person. Just looking around and seeing all the amazing hair people create keep me excited and pushing myself to try new techniques and styles.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years:

Oh man. I’m having a hard time just planning my summer! I am much better at planning short term goals. It's crazy how fast life changes and I just love to try new things so I’m excited to see where I'll be in 5 years!

Do you have any beauty secrets you'd like to share:

I am such a Curious George when it comes to all things beauty! One of my favorite tricks is I use an old pillow case to dry my hair when I get out of the shower to help prevent it from getting frizzy. After I curl the hair if it looks to “pretty and perfect” I spray a leave in conditioner through the mid-shaft and ends on dry hair to soften up and give a more “lived in” curl. I am also a big believer in taking care of your hair on the outside as well as from within. I try to stay hydrated and take an omega-3 daily. It really helps to keep your hair soft and shiny.

Have any indulgences or guilty pleasures:

Who doesn't!?

I just got a Harry Josh blow dryer and I am in love! Messy hair and top knots are my favorite. No shame jamming out to Taylor Swift, I am obsessed with my pug, and the old soul in side of me loves strawberry rhubarb pie.

What's your favorite thing about LUXEREMI.COM

I love the Bohyme Luxe hair and they carry it in all the colors and lengths. My orders have always arrived on time. They have also been very quick to respond to any questions I have had.
